4th Place Finish Brings Alex Back Within 1 Point in Hunt for Championship

Al Stippich took the lead on lap 10 and turned back numerous challenges to win the 40-lap late model main event to score his first feature victory at Slinger in four years.

Jack Stern led the opening lap before Brian Holtz took over the top spot on lap two and held the lead until Stippich used the outside line to grab the lead on a restart following a caution flag on lap nine. Four more caution periods slowed the race and each time Stippich fended off different challengers as he remained out front before pulling away in the end to capture the victory. Jordan DeVoy advanced his way through the field to finish second with Ryan Zielski close behind in third. Alex Prunty and Mike Held were near the front for nearly the entire race and finished in fourth and fifth respectively.
Dan Jung won the late model semi-feature over Joe Bongiorno and Matt Rowe while Scott Patrick and Brittiny Helmers rounded out the top five. R.J. Braun scored his first career late model victory in the first late model heat race while Jerry Mueller picked up the checkered flag in the second heat race.

Alex Prunty set fast time with a lap of 12.279 seconds.
